PRIVACY POLICY

Obey's Barbershop respects your privacy and complies with Quebec's Law 25 (Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector). Here's exactly what we collect and why.

When you book: your name, contact (email and/or phone), the service + barber you picked, and any notes you leave. Required to deliver the service and contact you about the appointment.

When you visit: a daily-rotated hash of your IP address (so we can count unique visitors without storing identifying information), the page you viewed, your browser, device type, and where you came from (referrer). No third-party analytics or advertising trackers.

When you chat with us: the message text and your chosen name. Stored so a barber can reply.

To deliver the booking, send you confirmation and reminder emails, run the business, and improve the site. We do not sell, rent, share, or transfer your information to third parties for marketing.

Under Law 25 you can request access to your data, ask for corrections, or ask us to delete it. Email bookings@obeys.ca and we'll act within 30 days.

Booking records: up to 3 years (we may need them for accounting / records). Analytics logs: 1 year. Chat messages: 90 days. Cookies: see below.

PHPSESSID — keeps your session active (essential, expires when you close your browser).
obeys_chat_token — lets the chat widget remember your conversation (essential for chat, stays for 30 days).
obeys_consent — remembers you saw this notice (essential, stays for 1 year).
